When to use MAP®?

The Medical Advocate Program® (MAP®) assists employees with navigating through the constantly changing healthcare system.

The MAP®Nurse Advocate, a Registered Nurse, follows the patient throughout the entire episode of care, helping to organize and outline the appropriate steps to receive the most effective treatment. To accomplish this, MAP® offers one-on-one assistance, identifying information on the highest quality physicians, effective treatment options, locating the most cost-effective facilities, and providing answers to medical questions, benefits, provider balance billing, etc.

You will want to call The Medical Advocate Program®(MAP®):
  • When you have some medical symptoms and would like to talk with someone about them.
     
  • When you need to see a specialist or have a procedure done in a hospital or outpatient facility.
     
  • When you would like to have information on alternative treatment options you may want to consider.
     
  • When you would like to discuss questions to ask your physician regarding symptoms and ailments you may have. 
     
  • When you would like information on organizations, social services and assistance groups available in the area that you may want to contact.
  • When you would like to have quality information on any physicians or medical facilities in your area.
     
  • When you have medical questions you would like to have answered by one of our medical professionals.
     
  • When you need medical information on specific ailments.
     
  • When you are having trouble getting the medical services you need . . . when you need them. 
     
  • When you want a second opinion.
