q.jpg Why take the blind test?
a.jpg Delphi’s goal is to help employers and employees alike understand how decisions are made when selecting a physician or facility with limited or no information. This test represents a typical example of how someone might choose a healthcare provider. Pertinent healthcare information once invisible to both employers and employees is now available through Delphi. As a unique source of healthcare information, Delphi guides Members through the medical maze, resulting in patients becoming knowledgeable purchasers of healthcare. This in turn reduces costs to employers and yields better outcomes for all.

q.jpg What is the importance of taking this test?
a.jpg The results of the blind test would obviously be different if employees were made aware of pertinent information of their provider selection. Delphi’s goal is to help patients understand and base their decision on quality, physician’s case load of that procedure, total cost of the procedure, etc. Revealing this data has proven to have a positive affect...people make informed medical decisions, healthy choices, successfully manage their own health, and make the best use of limited health care resources. With Delphi’s Medical Advocate Program (MAP®) healthcare information becomes apparent and Members are assigned a MAP® representative who acts as an advocate whose only goal is to achieve the highest quality and most cost-effective healthcare available.

How does Delphi select providers?
a.jpg Delphi chooses providers for a patient's specific medical condition based on quality, number of cases or procedures performed, and the MAP® credentialing process. The selection is further confirmed by reviewing provider peer studies, provider cost reports, market research data, etc.

About Us

The Medical Advocate Program® (MAP®) is comprised of healthcare professionals who provide information, education, one-on-one guidance, and a high level of trust to give Members what they need to change their healthcare purchasing habits — empowering them to become better purchasers of healthcare.

The key to the MAP® Program’s success is its Nurse Advocates. The MAP® Nurse Advocate is a Registered Nurse who follows the patient throughout their entire episode of care, helping to organize and outline the appropriate steps to receive the most effective treatment. To accomplish this, MAP® provides healthcare transparency, identifying information on the highest quality physicians, effective treatment options, locating the most cost-effective facilities, and providing answers to medical questions, benefits, provider balance billing, etc.

MAP® is exclusively provided by our Members’ employers and not available to the general public. If you would like your employer to offer this unique and highly beneficial service, please have them contact us at 727-573-5737 or visit www.MAP-Health.com to obtain more information about MAP®.
